Hey everyone!
We've been busy lately and I haven't had a chance to sit down and give you an update on everything. Brian and I are back to square one with Ms. Kinsley. She doesn't seem to want to sleep in her own bed again. Most nights she starts in her room and wakes up mad. By the time she gets into bed with us, neither of us want to mess with getting her out. I'm going to work on that starting this weekend (wish me luck). Feet in my face....no thanks. Kinsley's four new teeth are stilling making their way through and she usually needs orajel twice a day. Plus, we are dealing we tantrums again. And boy are they bad. I had mentioned when we first got here that Kinsley would throw fits about getting in her car seat and now it's the stroller. What makes it worse is the fact that people see her doing it and we try everything to calm her down. There have been times where we just put her back in the car and go home. We are at that point where Kinsley wants to be a big girl with everything. Walking and holding our hands is her new thing but we can't always do that. She doesn't realize that sometimes there are too many cars or the walk is too far for her.
Some of you already know that Brian has finally started his normal schedule. Right now they are on nights but Brian doesn't seem to mind. That means he gets to spend a little time with Kinsley during the day and help me with her when it comes to naps.
So I posted pictures of the house before we got all of our stuff. I finally found some time to take pictures of everything now that it's all settled (and clean). Not saying I haven't cleaned the entire time we've been here but I feel better about taking the pictures when it's clean. I didn't take any of the basement because we're in the process of doing a few small projects.
Here is the main floor. I love having our second refrigerator right by the kitchen but some days I wish it was in the basement. It is nice to have since our other one is really small. People here don't shop like us Americans. They buy what they need for the week, not in bulk. There's no room for it plus they don't want food to go to waste before they can eat it.
This is our second floor. Had to buy a linen cabinet. The only storage is in the kitchen and the top floor. That's why we have giant wardrobes in our rooms (provided by the military).
Kinsley's room which isn't finished. We still need to hang up a few things and paint. Her green rocker was in the corner of her room but we decided to make a reading area for her instead. Any of my crafty friends want to make a giant fluffy floor pillow for us???
I would gladly pay for the materials.
Oh and notice Kinsley's bed... the toddler railing was not enough. She still managed to fall out.
Our bedroom isn't done either. We are still looking for a bed and I want to get a few things to put up on the walls.
Brian and I bought European bedding (I guess that's what you would call it). So we each have our own comforter. It's nice because we don't fight over the covers but it doesn't make for a pretty picture.
Oh that's our new dresser from Ikea. It's amazing and lots of storage. (Sorry again for the not so pretty pictures, I will get around to finishing both of the rooms soon).
MY CRAFT TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you tell I like this room? I've already started working on a few things. I'll eventually get a post up about my projects.
Kinsley's play area. We bought an easel for her and she loves it. Plus the table and chairs which we're going to use for her legos. Thanks to pinterest for the idea.
As you can see we have a lot of space and plenty of room for guests. So no excuses.
Ciao!
