Food Fun Part 3: New Recipes

Alright, for those of you who are pinterest gurus, here are some wonderful pins. If you don't have a pinterest account, don't worry. You can still browse through and click on any of the pictures below for the recipes. To wrap up my first food blog, I wanted to share new recipes that I've whipped up for the family. Brian has been a good sport and tried a couple of things that he's never had before or wouldn't normally eat.

Breakfast

Sides

Definitely try the spicy garlic green beans and skillet roasted veggies. They are both delicious and simple.

The German potatoes are like my oma's recipe except no celery seed. By the way oma is Germany for grandma but that's nothing new for me. I've been calling her that my entire life. I should ask her if she has any other (German) family recipes that she can share with us. That gives me an idea...I might blog about my oma's recipes.

Dinner

I haven't tried all 6 of the chicken freezer meals. But the Creamy Chicken Italian-O over noodles is yummy. Rice would work as well. The beer honey chicken is a new favorite.

Now with the cauliflower sauce, it makes A LOT. We enjoyed it but when it came to eating it as leftovers, I didn't like it as much. This would be great for when you have guest over.

Mini corn dogs for my little princess. Best part about it, they aren't deep fried. I haven't made these since we've been here in Germany but I've made them for Kinsley and she liked them.

Not sure if I would call this man-pleasing chicken. Brian liked it but I think he would prefer something else before picking this for dinner. It is good though.

Snacks

The fire crackers aren't a new recipe but everyone should have this on hand for parties. Some people use an entire box of saltine crackers. The last time I made these, I only used three because I like them with a lot of flavor and spice.

Desserts

Another recipe that's not new but baby oh baby it's sweetness overload. My mother-in-law and I made this right before Kinsley was born. This might be the reason why she loves sweets like her mommy.

Miscellaneous
The pin to the right is very helpful. It tells you the best way to store your produce, to help them last longer. I find it very useful and I hope you do too.

That's it for now. Feel free to send some of your favorite recipes. I will gladly give them a try. Now that I think about it, I might try to blog about new recipes once a month. Give me some feed back, let me know what you think.

Ciao!
