Well we are getting settled into our new home and still trying to wrap our heads around the fact that we are living in Germany. Brian was on top of his game. He did his research on everything possible before getting here and once we got here he wasted no time getting things in order. I'm so thankful for that because it would've taken me weeks to get things done and try to get a baby on a new schedule. Which by the way only took about a week for her to stop waking up in the middle of the night for snack and movie time.
I have to say things have gone a lot better than we thought. We both got our drivers license, a second car, bank accounts set up, our household items and a house all in two weeks. That's pretty quick compared to some of the stories we've heard. At first I was a little worried about driving around here, but now I like it more than the states. The states need to jump on the bandwagon and get rid of some traffic lights and start using traffic circles. They are amazing!
Oh and same goes for the house, it's amazing. Most of you already knew about the house because we found it online before we even got to Germany. We got the house the same day we went and looked at it. Since Brian was the first to respond to the post we got to decide if we wanted it or not. Even though there were others looking at it as well. Here are some pictures we took before we got our belongings.
The living room
The half bath downstairs
The dining room (which is the same room as the living)
Our utility room.
Basement
Kinsley's bedroom
Master bedroom
Bathroom
Open space on third floor (using as a second guest bedroom)
The 2nd guest bedroom/ Kinsley and mommy's craft room
I haven't taken pictures of the house now that everything is in place. Hopefully that will get done soon, once we finish Kinsley's room. Other than getting settled, we have been exploring all the things Germany has to offer. There have been a lot of trips around the local area. Of course we've seen the Frankfurt Zoo. It was small but we all had the best time.
Eating at a Mexican restaurant in Germany. But what do you know we ate burgers.
This monkey loved playing with Kinsley.
This male was showing off his moves.
Momma and the baby tiger.
Kinsley's favorite
And poor daddy was outside all by himself.
Pictures from driving around and views from a couple of towns. We've visited a few towns and the festivals they had going on.
We have been taking a lot of pictures and I'm hoping to share some new recipes and awesome tricks that I've been trying in the kitchen. No crafting just yet. A trip to Ikea is in the near future. That way we can get several things off our list now that our car is here. More blogs to come!
