Busy Bees

So Kinsley has been accompanying  me to my all of my meetings since we've arrived. I didn't get any pictures from the spouse orientation but she was the only child and behaved so well. A couple of weeks ago we went to the heart link meeting and she had Logan to play with. She also met a new friend too. The best part of the day for the kids was the C130 tour. I took a few pictures, they aren't the greatest because I used my phone and I had a sleeping child on my shoulder. That's right, asleep. It wasn't quiet in there either. But then again, Kinsley was use to sleeping through the sound of trains when she was a baby.

Had to take a picture of the manikin's tattoo (I love my mommy)

My little princess has been keeping me very busy every day. We build tents after breakfast and by the time daddy comes home it looks like a tornado has hit the house. I know that's what happens when you have a very active toddler. She is always making me laugh when she dances to the music of her toys. By the time I think to record, she has moved on to something else and wont dance when I try to play the music. Other than the tents, playing dress up with her heels and tiara is also her favorite. I'm thinking she may need some play clothes for Christmas.

Pictures from my phone (kind of blurry)

Fast forward to last week, now that I've updated everyone on our trips. Brian started some new job after his training was over. He is helping the base get ready for their inspection. Other than that I don't know too much about what he does. He's not allowed to say, which I know he loves. Brian's not the type to come home and talk about his day. Which is fine by me.

Kinsley is sleeping in her own room all through the night. We are so glad to have her out of our bed. She has been going to bed later than normal though. Right now we are in the process of working on that. I've adjusted her entire day to help. We just have to stick with our bedtime routine. Not sure if I mentioned it in my first blog but Kinsley now has ten teeth. Two of her molars came through around the second week we were here.

Germans love to walk. Even though it seems like a lot of them smoke like freight trains and there is a ton of bread with every meal. They walk everywhere they go. We usually try to walk a couple of times a week to get out. Brian wanted to try a different trail down the street from our town. I thought this would be a good time to take some pictures of Kinsley if I could get her to cooperate. This was my chance to have an extra set of hands to help me take Kinsley's pictures for Brian. I was a little behind, plus she is almost always wild when I try to get her to do something when it's just me. The trail was nice plus we got to see some horses and cows. Here are a few of the pictures.

On our way back down to the car, Brian saw this pear tree. It amazes me at how all these fruits grow so easily over here. I joined a spouse page on facebook and every week someone new is posting pictures of some kind of fruit just growing in their backyard. I wish we had something like that in our yard. Oh well, I already have plans for a garden next spring.

Some of them had spots that looked like snowflakes.

Our friend Ashley and the kids came over and stayed with us this past weekend. Her husband was gone for a couple of weeks. She had offered to watch Kinsley while we made a trip to Ikea on Saturday. That store is overwhelming as is, so it was nice to be able to shop without a child for a few hours. Of course with no kid you would think the trip would go smoothly. I had to get a new Ikea family card because mine from the states doesn't work here and then somewhere between eating lunch and checking out, I had lost the card. Thankfully the guy behind us let us use his card so we could get the discounts. Then we had to wait for our number to be called at the customer service desk in order to get our taxes refunded from our purchase. That was fun because we realized we got the glossy white desk which wasn't the one on sale. Either way we kept it and went home.

We ordered pizza for dinner and made jello for the kids to have later. After dinner we walked to the ice cream shop and then on to the park so the kids could play. I think they loved the sand pit the best because they were practically rolling in it. Brian rented movies for the weekend. But he was upstairs putting everything together while Ashley and I watched Water for Elephants.

The best part about the weekend was the fact that the adults got to sleep in because the kids were obviously wore out. I took Ashley to Globus (Walmart on crack is what Brian calls it) in order find a waffle maker, which she was able to find. So we had waffles for breakfast, to test it out.

Seems like I'm learning something new every week. A couple of weeks ago someone mentioned a field of flowers that you could go and pick for yourself. Turns out there is one down the street from our town. I mentioned it to Ashley and we took the kids. We thought that would be fun for all of us. Plus I thought this would be another opportunity to take pictures. Kinsley wanted to run between the flowers and wouldn't stop and smile. These are better anyways.

Lillian and Zachary know how to listen.

I'm getting better at this blogging thing. Now if I can just keep up and remember to always have my camera with me.

Ciao!
