Bad Durkheim Wine Festival

The next few posts are a little late. Sorry about that. I had worked on a few blog posts and then never got back to completing them. Enjoy.

Shortly after our weekend trip to Munich, Brian heard about a wine festival not too far from us. We weren't up for traveling too far. So we knew this would be nice on a Saturday afternoon. Wine festival...yes please! We all had a great time even with a little rain. From what we've read, this festival is kind of a big deal. It's one of the largest/oldest festivals and it's over 570 years old.

Usually when we go on trips, we take Brian's car. The only thing is we only have one car seat. I was browsing through the yard sale website and came across the lovely car seat you see below. Does she look comfortable?

Entertainment while trying some wine and eating brats and potatoes. Good time to sit down for a few minutes because it was beginning to rain.

Kinsley couldn't go on any of the rides other than the ferris wheel. But she had a great time. Mommy and daddy had a death grip on that child because she wanted to move around to look at everything.

Views from the ride.

Brian and his little princess.

No idea what I was laughing about.

World's largest barrel.

Lots of music and people.

Mmmm...roasted corn.

On our way back home.

Since there were too many wine tents and a cranky child on our hands, we headed to the wine store to pick a couple of bottles to take home. Brian was able to keep Kinsley calm long enough for me to sample several wines. Because this trip didn't last as long as we would've hoped, we grabbed a few snacks to have later at home.
(Chocolate covered banana, pepper, and these yummy flavored marshmallow treats).

Ciao!
